What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Your home address is used to match you with nearby matches by distance — it is never shown to other members or included in any match listing, only an approximate distance or area. If you host a Mahj Match, that hosting location (which may be your home, a business, or another address you choose) is shared with the members it's relevant to. You can optionally add a profile photo, and the app records your Mahjong scoring history (hands played, points) as part of normal use. If you submit feedback through the app, we keep what you wrote along with your account.

How we use it

Your information is used to run the club: matching you to nearby Mahj Match games, scheduling and scoring matches, and letting other members reach you through the app's built-in messaging once you're actually on a match together. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and your data passes through them as part of that:

• Supabase hosts our database, authentication, and file storage (profile photos).
• Resend sends account emails (confirming your signup, password resets, match and squad invites).
• Google (Address Validation and Places APIs) verifies addresses you enter and powers address autocomplete and map links.

Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) tracks overall site usage — pages visited, scroll depth, outbound link clicks, and form submissions. It doesn't identify you by name or account; we use it to understand how the site as a whole is used, not to advertise to you. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use the cookies necessary to keep you signed in, plus Google Analytics' own cookies for the usage tracking described above. We don't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data removed, contact us and we'll delete it — this is permanent and can't be undone.
